Day to day Outline Mardi Himal Trekking Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu Airport (1350m.), pick up then transfer to the Hotel .
  • Day 02: Drive or fly to Pokhara then transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 03: Drive to Hemja then trek to Pothana (1900m.),5-6 hrs.
  • Day 04: Trek to Low camp (3100m.), 5-6 hrs.
  • Day 05: Trek to High camp (3900m.), 4 hrs.
  • Day 06: Explore the view point (4500m.) overnight in High camp.
  • Day 07: Trek to Siding (1760m.), 5-6 hrs.
  • Day 08: Trek to Saidighatta (1100m.) 3-4 hrs. and drive back to Pokhara.
  • Day 09: Drive or flight to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 10: Fly out own destination or extra activities.

  • Best time for Mardi Himal Trek

    The best time for Mardi Himal trek is the mid September to December and March to end of May. Trekking during the January and February is also possible but it is cold during that period in the morning and evening. The months of June July and August is least popular time to go trekking in Nepal as it is monsoon season. We run Mardi Himal Trek during the monsoon period too but if you are afraid of leeches, this is not the right trek for you.


    Trekking Permits for Mardi Himal Trek

    For Mardi Himal Trek, we need to organize Annapurna Conservation Area Entry Permit (ACAP) cost Rs. 3000 and Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) that cost US $ 10 per person. When you book your trek with us, we take care of your permit arrangement. We need 2 pssport size recently taken photographs of you for trekking permits.


    Accommodation and Meals during the Mardi Himal Trek

    There are many local tea houses along the Mardi Himal trekking route. Those local tea houses are basic where you can sleep in your private room. There are some tea houses with attached bathroom in the room but only in the lower elevation. About the meals, you will be having your dinner and breakfast in the same tea house where you sleep and your guide will organize your lunch somewhere on the way also in the local lodge along the trail. The basic menu for food in the local tea houses includes local meals such as dal, Bhat, tarkari, momo (dumplings), soup, and noodles.
