Khopra Danda Trek

The Annapurna region has long been a favorite trekking destinations due to its amazing views, interesting local culture, friendly local people and easier accessibility from Pokhara. If you think about trekking in Nepal, Annapurna come to mind. Annapurna region is home to beautiful treks and now there is one more new trek recently discovered and it is the Khopra Danda trek also known as the Khopra Ridge trek and Khayar Lake trek.

Khopra Danda trek is all about amazing mountain views. Khopra Danda is the best view-point that offers the panoramic view of the Himalayas including 3 out of the 14 highest mountains in the world Mt Manaslu (8th highest), Mt Annapurna I (9th highest) and Mt Dhaulagiri I (7th highest). We can also see Mt Nilgiri North and South, Mt Himchuli, Mt Ganga Purna, Mt Dhaulagiri, and more.

If you are planning for a week-long moderate trek with great mountain views Khopra Danda trek is highly recommended. It is a little off-the-beaten-path trek so it is less crowded. Since the Annapurna base camp trek and Ghorepani Poonhill trek are attracting more trekkers and getting more crowded, Khopra Danda trek is the best alternative which offers even better and closer view of the mountains more than any treks in Nepal during the week-long trek.
